Communion in the Church Today

Posted in Uncategorized at 4:58 pm by tobytaff

I am reasonably certain few, if any, people read my blog, so asking a question is probably a waste of time, but here goes… What is the import of communion in your church today? I have some opinions about communion I’m trying to solidify, but I wonder about how communion is perceived in the church.

  1. Chris Lemmon said,

The main import of communion is, I believe, grape juice and bread. I am not certain from where the elements are imported however.

On a more serious note… I would be lying if I said that church tradition did not play a significant part in our observance of communion. Beyond that I cannot speak to the thoughts or intents of my fellow congregants. What I can say is that remembering the institution of communion by Christ at the last supper is emphasized as well as its relation to us as individual sinners.
